Think back to the last time you were in a debate with someone — a family member, a colleague at work.

And halfway through the debate, or maybe even afterwards, you realized that you were wrong.

That the information you shared was incorrect.

But in that moment… it felt too late to admit it.

Because it would feel like backing down.

Most of us get into this situation because our focus is on being right.

So much so that we don’t want the other person to be right.

But what if we shifted the focus?

From who is right  
to  
what is right

Because as human beings who are always learning, changing and growing — we are susceptible to error.

And one of the best things you can do for yourself is understand that you can be wrong.
