Once you’ve audited your environment, the next step is to begin phasing out what no longer supports your growth. This doesn’t need to be drastic or immediate, but it does need to be intentional. Small shifts over time are often more sustainable than dramatic changes.
This could look like spending less time in certain spaces, changing the type of content you consume, or having honest conversations with people in your environment about who you are becoming. The goal is not to run away, but to protect and support your growth.
At the same time, begin introducing elements that reinforce your future self. This might include new habits, new people, new environments, or even small sensory cues that remind you of your goals.
You are essentially teaching your environment how to support you. And over time, your environment begins to reflect who you are becoming, rather than who you used to be.
You cannot sit on the windowsill and expect to become the tree. Your environment must call that version of you forward.
